Are you ready for the fastest game on earth? If you answered yes, then the
National Hockey League's Florida Panthers are your answer. The Panthers have
been a hit with Boxes & Materials customers since their inaugural season in
1993. Whether it is a bone-crushing hit, or an electrifying goal, Florida
Panthers hockey is enough to make your heart race. Based in the Ft. Lauderdale
suburb of Sunrise, the Panthers play their home games at the state of the art
BankAtlantic Center. As the first NHL team in Florida, the Panthers quickly
gained a following by putting together one of the best expansion teams in league
history. In only their third season in the NHL, the Panthers won the Eastern
conference championship before being defeated in the Stanley Cup finals. Florida
is quickly becoming a hockey mad state, so don't miss your chance to take in a
game with your next Boxes & Materials.
The 2005-2006 season marked the beginning of what might be a bright future
for the game of hockey in Florida. Despite narrowly missing the playoffs, the
play of the Panthers young stars brought the house down. Led by Olympians Jay
Bouwmeester and Oli Jokinen, the Panthers battled to 4th place in the Southeast
Division. With your California Movers to NY to New York City Long Distance to Miami Ft Laude WPB & Orlando

young stars. The 2005-2006 season was a record setting campaign for one Panther.
Forward Nathan Horton became the youngest player in team history to score 3
goals in a game. As the 2006-2007 season rolls along, the Panthers are again in
a fight for a playoff position. The inspired play of the young team under head
coach Jacques Martin, and their battle for the playoffs make a night at the rink

The Panthers monumental 1995-96 campaign provided one of the strangest
traditions in professional sports. Before the teams home opener that season,
soon to be team captain Scott Mellanby spotted a live rat running across the
dressing room floor. Mellanby reacted by grabbing his stick and shooting the rat
across the room, killing it instantly. That night Mellanby compiled a 'rat
trick' scoring two goals. By the time the playoffs rolled around, Panther fans
were throwing up to 2000 plastic rats on the ice after every goal. You may not
want to take part in this tradition, but the slick skating Panthers, and their
die hard fans make this a must see for your Boxes & Materials experience.
The Panthers were named after the Florida Panther or Cougar. These panthers
are native to the southern most regions of Florida and are considered
endangered. From human development and population growth, the Panthers natural
habitat continues to be destroyed. Restoration of the panther population has
begun, but may end in the species becoming extinct as habitat space is limited.
The Panthers offer a wide variety of ticket packages from individual seats to
their famous "six-pack" deal. This deal includes two tickets to any 3 games plus
a prize pack including a Florida Panthers cooler and cups. If you aren't an
ultimate hockey fan yet, why not take in a single game with your Boxes & Materials. Tickets can be purchased for as little as $17 each at any Ticketmaster
location or on the Florida Panthers official website
www.floridapanthers.com . The BankAtlantic Center is easily accessible off
the Sawgrass Expressway and all parking charges are included in your Florida
Panthers ticket price. Whether you are interested in a night on the town, or
some relaxing fun, use your Boxes & Materials to find out what the buzz around
