In September 1994, Phil Ritson leased 920 acres of land in Winter Garden,

qualifier.
Each year in October from 1999 to 2005, Orange County national hosted the
Buick Scramble National Finals. From 1999 to 2005, Golf Digest awards Orange
County National four-and-a-half stars for '…€œBest Places to Play.'‚
In December 1999, Golfer Magazine names Orange County Practice Facility as
the '…€œBest Range in America.'‚
In October 2001, the Orange County National donated $8,071 to the 9/11 Fund.
Money was raised through a golf outing.
In October 2002, the golf Center hosted the Executive women's Golf
Association National Championship.
In December 2003, the Orange County National hosted the PGA Tour Qualifying
School finals.
